Shelford Group welcomes Nick Moberly as new Chief Executive of King’s College Hospital NHS FT

The Shelford Group are delighted to welcome Nick Moberly to the Shelford Group, as he begins his new role as Chief Executive of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Prior to joining King’s, Nick was Chief Executive of Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, a position he held since 2006. He also spent 3 years at King’s as Director of Strategic Development, and has previously held roles as First Secretary at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and as a strategy consultant for a range of blue chip organisations.


Nick said “I am delighted to become a member of the Shelford Group as part of my role as Chief Executive at King’s College Hospital. The level of experience and insight the Group’s members have is invaluable, and I look forward to working with them in a time in which the healthcare sector faces a number of both challenges and opportunities.”


On  Nick Moberly’s appointment as Chief Executive of KCH and consequential entry to the Shelford Group, Chair of the Shelford Group Sir Ron Kerr stated “Nick brings with him a wealth of experience and a strong track record, notably during his time as CEO at the Royal Surrey. I am delighted he will be joining the Shelford CEOs Group to represent King’s, and we look forward to benefitting from his contribution to both the trust and the Shelford Group as a whole”.
