Shelford trusts receive over £72m in clinical trial funding

Shelford Group trusts have been allocated £72,290,719 of the latest funding for research and facilities to support clinical trials – more than 80% of the £112m total funding available.

Shelford Group trusts have been allocated £72,290,719 of the latest funding for research and facilities to support clinical trials – more than 80% of the £112m total funding available.

23 NHS trusts have been awarded funding by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). The NIHR recently ranked the best-performing trusts in the country for clinical research which saw the ten Shelford trusts in the top 15. The Shelford Group trusts allocations are listed below:

 

The Minister for Public Health and Innovation, Nicola Blackwood MP, said the funding will help support “skilled personnel and cutting-edge facilities to keep the UK at the forefront of clinical research”. The full Department of Health announcement can be found here
