Professor Tim Orchard, Chief Executive of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust will become the new Chair of the Shelford CEOs group, starting from Monday 3 April. Professor Orchard, who was previously Vice Chair, takes on the role from Roland Sinker, Chief Executive of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Kirsten Major, Chief Executive of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, will become Vice Chair. These appointments, which are both carried out in addition to existing Trust CEO roles, are in line with the parameters set out in the Shelford constitution agreed last year, including meeting the criteria for geographical diversity.
The chair and vice-chair terms of office are for one year, with the Vice Chair then stepping into the Chair role come April 2024.
