We’ve this week published our 2025/26 Shelford Group Impact Report, which sets out Shelford’s achievements over the last year.

Last year’s 10 Year Health Plan established ambitious goals for the future of the NHS, and Shelford has been part of that change – contributing  to the national conversation and working closely with partners across government, the NHS, industry and academia to help drive positive impact across healthcare. This year has also seen the launch of our new strategy, with a focus on priorities where we think that collaboration as a Group can have the most impact.

This impact report examines our work over the last year in more detail, and reflects on how we’ve used our collective capacity and influence to make a positive impact on service delivery and patient care, both within our localities and across the wider NHS system. There is a focus across our four strategic work areas:

  • NHS structural reform and service improvement: Our policy work, focusing on the role of acute providers in neighbourhood health, driving long-term productivity gains through service improvement, and the Advanced FT programme;
  • Supporting the work and growth of our sub-groups: Strengthening these groups by enabling regular dialogue, peer learning and shared policy development, including the launch of our Collaborative Action Programmes
  • Safer Nursing Care Tools: The continued development of our Safer Nursing Care Tools (SNCT), supporting Chief Nurses across England in their safer staffing decisions.
