Will Warburton, Managing Director for the Shelford Group, is to step down from his role at the end of the year, ahead of taking up a new position in January.

Recruitment for his replacement is currently underway, with the intention that a new Managing Director will start as soon as possible in 2025.

Will joined the Shelford Group as Managing Director in Jan 2022. Prior to joining the Shelford Group, he worked as Director of Improvement at The Health Foundation. He was also previously Senior Policy Fellow at the Centre for Health Policy in the Institute of Global Health Innovation at Imperial College London.

Kirsten Major, Chair of the Shelford Group and CEO of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank Will for the enormously valuable contribution he has made to the Shelford Group over the last three years, where he has successfully increased the depth of our collaborative work on some of the NHS’s most pressing challenges. We wish him all the best for the future, and look forward to continuing to work productively with him in his new role.”
