The Shelford Group are delighted to announce Will Warburton as their new Managing Director. Will brings with him a wealth of experience across NHS operational management, health policy and innovation in healthcare, most recently as Director of Improvement for the Health Foundation. Previous roles include Senior Policy Fellow and Operational Director of the Centre for Health Policy for Professor the Lord Darzi’s Institute of Global Health Innovation at Imperial, where Will also gained excellent exposure internationally. Will joins at a pivotal time for the Shelford Group as we take forward our new strategy, ‘Improving health outcomes for all’.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our former Managing Director, Nick Kirby, for his leadership of the Group over the last four years, and wish him well with his new role as Managing Director of the UCL Health Alliance. Will joins us on 17 January 2022.
Will Warburton biography: Will has over 15 years’ experience in health policy, innovation, improvement and operational management. He joins the Shelford Group in January 2022 from the Health Foundation, where he was Director of Improvement. Previously, Will was Forum Director for the World Innovation Summit for Health, and Operational Director at the Centre for Health Policy in the Institute of Global Health Innovation at Imperial College London, where he is an honorary research fellow. Prior to this, Will worked in the NHS as Head of Operations for Women’s and Children’s services at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, and as a management consultant at KPMG. While working in the NHS, Will undertook the GenerationQ Fellowship, gaining a postgraduate qualification in leadership and quality improvement.
